WebNo, I would say thats exactly how its supposed to work. That is what Regenerate is supposed to do, and why its such a high level spell. I will say that the restoration of 1HP at the beginning of its turn does give you one whole turn in which to outright kill said character but pummelling its corpse. So its not invincible.
